Modern environments often disconnect us from the natural systems our bodies evolved with.
Biophilic design restores this relationship by integrating nature, natural materials, living systems, and environmental harmony into the spaces where people spend their time.
Whether a private home, creative studio, wellness center, workplace, restaurant, retreat space, or educational setting — these environments can be designed to support clarity, vitality, focus, and well-being.

Biophilic design is the intentional integration of natural systems and patterns into the built environment — including homes, workplaces, learning environments, hospitality spaces, and wellness settings.
Research shows these environments can support:
• improved focus and cognitive function
• reduced physiological stress
• greater emotional balance
• enhanced creativity and productivity
• stronger connection to the natural world
Humans are biologically wired to respond positively to nature. When our homes reflect natural systems, our bodies and nervous systems respond accordingly.
This is why spaces designed with nature often feel:
• calmer
• clearer
• more restorative
• more alive
Developed by Terrapin Bright Green, these patterns identify the specific environmental conditions that support human biological responses to nature — including natural light dynamics, complexity, refuge, prospect, and sensory variation.
Outlined by Dr. Stephen Kellert, these principles guide how natural elements, materials, and spatial relationships can be integrated into architecture and interior environments.
This work also incorporates Luminous Spaces principles, focusing on environments that support clarity, vitality, and energetic coherence within the home.

Common contributors include:
• limited natural materials
• stagnant air circulation
• artificial lighting patterns
• environmental pollutants
• lack of living systems indoors
• excessive technological interference
Over time, these conditions can contribute to:
• fatigue
• difficulty concentrating
• elevated stress
• reduced creativity
• emotional heaviness in the home
Biophilic design helps restore environmental balance and create homes that actively support the people living within them.

Biophilic design is applicable anywhere humans spend time indoors.
This work sits at the intersection of:
Biophilic Design
Environmental Wellness
Subtle Energy Awareness
Human Nervous System Regulation
Rather than approaching a space only as décor, we evaluate the entire living environment — including natural elements, air quality, environmental stressors, and spatial experience.
The goal is simple: to help your home feel supportive, calm, and alive again.

We design with nature and energy to create spaces that breathe, uplift, and support life. Choose the path that resonates with your needs:
A focused session to evaluate your space and provide personalized recommendations.
1 Hour Session — $150
Ideal for a single room or focused design challenge.
3 Hour Session — $275
Recommended for larger areas or multiple rooms.
Process
Prior to the session you will:
• complete a short questionnaire about your space
• send photos or a short video walkthrough
During our Zoom session we will:
• review your space together
• identify opportunities to integrate natural systems
• discuss plants, materials, lighting, spatial layout, and sensory elements
• apply the biophilic design frameworks to your environment
You will leave with clear recommendations and next steps for enhancing your space.
1–2 Hours | $300 – $500 depending on property size
This service provides an in-person evaluation of your environment.
During our walkthrough we will:
• discuss your goals and how you want your space or environment to feel
• review the layout and environmental flow of the space
• perform an indoor air quality check including:
CO₂ levels
AQI
Formaldehyde
VOCs
Indoor particulate levels
We will also address several foundational environmental factors including:
• correction of dirty electricity
• water line balancing on the property
• Wi-Fi harmonization
Photos will be taken as needed for later review.
A follow-up Zoom consultation is scheduled afterwards where I present detailed biophilic design recommendations tailored to your space.
$500 – $1000 (depending on project scope)
Materials budget determined with the client.
This service is designed for clients who would like hands-on support implementing the design recommendations.
The process includes:
• full environmental walkthrough
• collaborative design planning
• sourcing plants and natural materials
• selecting appropriate placements within the home
• coordinating aesthetic and environmental elements
Several planning conversations are typically involved to finalize the design approach.
The result is a space that feels visibly refreshed, naturally balanced, and deeply supportive to live in.
30–60 minutes | $150
Educational talks on the science and benefits of biophilic design, including:
• how nature affects the nervous system
• why environments impact mood and cognition
• practical ways to re-nature homes and workplaces
These presentations are ideal for:
• wellness centers
• yoga studios
• educational events
• community gatherings
• corporate wellness programs

Clients often report that after these changes their space feels:
• calmer
• lighter
• more spacious
• more nurturing
• easier to focus and relax within
The goal is not simply aesthetic improvement.
The goal is a living environment that actively supports your well-being.

Your environment has a powerful influence on how you think, feel, rest, and create.
Small environmental shifts can produce meaningful changes in daily experience.
If your space feels heavy, stagnant, or disconnected from nature, biophilic design can help restore balance.
